Millet is a small, annual cereal grain. It is believed to have originated in Africa and later entered Asia via India. Currently, its use, due to its nutritional properties, has spread to Europe and is gradually being introduced to the Americas. It is an important source of energy and protein and has a high nutritional value, compared to major cereals such as wheat, rice and corn. It has a high content of calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, dietary fiber, polyphenols and proteins. It does not contain gluten, ideal for people who are gluten intolerant, it is easy to digest. It is rich in micronutrients such as niacin, B vitamins, vitamin B6 and folic acid. Contains significant amounts of essential amino acids. It is recommended to cook it. 1 portion of product to 2 portions of water. Simmer for 20 to 25 minutes. Once cooked, it can be used as a garnish, mixed into salads, or as an ingredient in smoothies.
