Here is everything you need to know, gathered in one place: Light: bright, indirect light, more than for an all-green monstera - the yellow sectors produce no food, so the plant relies on abundant light for its green areas. A bright position, sheltered from the direct midday sun that would burn the light patches, is ideal. Temperature: it is happiest between 18 and 27 °C. It favours steady, warm temperatures; keep it from cold draughts and do not let it fall below 15 °C in winter. Watering: water when the top 3-4 cm of substrate has dried out, then water thoroughly and drain the excess completely. The variegated areas are more prone to rot, so carefully avoid standing water at the roots; in winter, water less often. Humidity: it loves humid air, above 60%. Group it with other plants, use a humidifier, or set it on a tray of pebbles and water. Good humidity encourages larger leaves and healthy aerial roots. Support: give it a moss pole early. A new leaf that is entirely yellow, with no green, will not survive in the long term, because it cannot produce food - it can be cut to redirect the plant's energy; brown spots on the light sectors betray too much direct sun; leaves without windows and without variegation call for more light.
