Hoya heuschkeliana is a compact wax plant with small, elongated leaves, prized for its unique flowers: clusters of waxy bells, pink or yellow, with a sweet caramel scent. Trailing and forgiving, it blooms repeatedly from the same spurs. One of the most fragrant of the small hoyas. Care instructions It grows moderately and flowers best when slightly root-bound and given good light. Let it trail from a shelf or train it on a small support. It is forgiving and suitable even for a first hoya. Light: bright indirect; a few hours of gentle sun encourage flowering. Temperature: 18-29°C; thrives best above 18°C. Water: let the substrate dry almost completely between waterings. Humidity: medium to high, ideally above 50%. Substrate: very free-draining hoya mix with bark, perlite and a little coco. Feeding: diluted bloom fertilizer every 3-4 weeks in summer. Propagation: from stem cuttings with 1-2 nodes, in water or substrate.
