Coir lasts 3 times longer than peat, has superior disease resistance, nutrient storage and water retention (it holds 8-9 times its weight in water). The pH range is 5.7 to 6.8. PH and EC acceptable. Organic and biodegradable, it has been extensively tested as a plant growth medium. Used in greenhouse and bedding plant production, on golf courses, in landscaping and erosion control. The balls are compressed 1:5 and turn into a fluffy, dark brown, pleasant smelling ""peat"" when hot water is added. 100% organic. Promotes strong root growth and plant vigour. Absorbs water easily and re-wet easily, reducing the need for wetting agents. Reduces plant stress-free watering frequency, reducing labor costs and minimizing plant loss. Increases the shelf life of plants. Slow decomposition of the material means the product will not shrink during your grow cycle. High water retention capacity while maintaining excellent drainage and aeration. Excellent wet capacity, superior to peat. Ability to retain nutrients against leaching and buffer supply.
