The BME680 is a digital 4-in-1 environmental sensor that measures gas, humidity, pressure, and temperature using proven sensing principles. It features an I²C interface, an onboard voltage regulator, and level-shifting circuitry for compatibility with both 3.3 V and 5 V systems. An SPI interface is also available for expansion. Typical applications include indoor air quality monitoring, home automation, IoT devices, weather stations, GPS enhancement (e.g., time-to-first-fix improvement, dead reckoning), indoor navigation (e.g., floor change detection), outdoor navigation, sports and leisure equipment, and vertical velocity indication. Target devices: smartphones, tablets, GPS units, wearables, smart watches, navigation systems, gaming accessories (e.g., drones), and IoT devices.
