PEA Meteor \nA superb first early variety. \nGrowing just 18 inches tall, Meteor is the ideal choice for growing in exposed areas but is equally at home in any garden. \nThis low growing variety is also suitable for growing in pots and containers. \nQuick growing, Meteor can be harvested in around 14/15 weeks from a spring sowing and if sown in the autumn (October/November) and overwintered can be harvested about 32 weeks later in late spring. \nA round seeded variety it produces an abundance of small but well filled pods. \nMeteor peas boast an excellent flavour and are a great source of Vitamins A and C, B1 and folic acid. \nBest picked when young, the sweetest pea flavour is obtained when they are cooked within 30 minutes of harvest before the sugar has turned to starch. \nWhen picking pea pods always pick from the bottom up, leaving mature pods on the plant stops new pods forming and reduces the crop. \nIf you have a surplus of peas they can be frozen for use later. \nDetailed growing instructions are on the back of each packet \nPacket contains: 60 seeds approx. \nIMMEDIATE \n \nDesign and colouring of packets may occasionally vary. \nWe want you to be happy with your purchase and all our Pea seed is checked and inspected visually before packing. .
