The small wedge requires a clearance between the rail/mount and the turret cluster from 0.190" to 0.730". The large wedge requires a clearance between the rail/mount and the turret cluster from 0.680" to 1.200". User Instructions: Place the scope into the rings or one-piece mount. Tighten the rings to remove slack, but leave enough slack so that the scope can still be rotated by hand. Place the leveling base on the Picatinny rail or one-piece mount directly below the scope's turret cluster. The angled groove should be on the top side. Insert the leveling wedge into the notch on the base from the side until it contacts the bottom of the turret block. Gently press the wedge until the scope rotates and is level. Tighten one scope ring to the torque specifications of the ring/mount manufacturer. Remove the optical leveler. Tighten the other ring to the torque specifications of the ring/mount manufacturer. Using the Arisaka Optic Leveler requires that the scope turret cluster and reticle are aligned, which may not be the case with poor quality scopes.
