It combines the functions of a banana file with a straight file, making it extremely functional. Banana files are best for working on cuticles and nail edges. Straight files are very versatile, but are primarily used for shaping and shortening nails. 180 grit is a fine-grained grit, designed for nail processing, shortening natural nails, or shaping gel. 240 grit, on the other hand, perfectly smooths edges and the natural nail plate, giving nails their final shape.
